BARTON ON THE HEATH PARISH COUNCIL
ORDINARY GENERAL MEETING FRIDAY 7th JUNE 2013
HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL
1.Apologies: Mrs H Seymour-Smith (Clerk)
2.Minutes of the Ordinary General Meeting of the 22nd February 2013 and matters arising: The new village website still had not been entirely resolved, but the Chairman assured the meeting that liaison between the two parties responsible for this was taking place.
3.Financial Matters. The first interim statement was approvedby the Council.
4.Report on the Hicks Project: Mr E Hicks brought the meeting up to date with the programme on this. Demolition of the old site will be beginning shortly while the construction on the new site would be begin in early August. Mr Hicks hoped that there would be relatively minimum upset to the village in general. If any one had any difficulties they should contact him direct.
5.The Neighburhood Plan: The Hon Treasurer gave his report on the meeting he had attended at Long Compton. It was decided that the Council would look at the current Village Design Statement and decide whether this needed any amendments. From this the way ahead on any possible Parish/ Village Plan could be evaluated.
6.Grant to the PCC: This is no longer required.
7.Any Other Business: Councillor Saint gave out a few interesting points on Super Broadband (possibly due to be upgraded by 2015) and road works in the area due later on this month. He warned the meeting to beware rogue traders, particularly on the internet and outlined the position on the proposed badger cull as it affected the Cotswold AONB.
8.Date of the next meeting: Friday 25th October at 7pm.
