On Sunday 16 February the sun shone brightly in a clear blue sky and it was possible to go out and take a few early morning shots of storm damage in Barton. A couple of tall conifers had blown down in Tim Shipton’s garden but caused very little damage. A section of the front wall of Barton House had fallen down.
Barton, despite its hilltop position, seemed to get off lightly.
One bonus of the storm was the bounteous supply of free firewood.
