We very much enjoyed meeting to talk about Vikram Seth’s novel, An Equal Music.  The book’s hero is as much in love with his beloved violin (loaned and then given to him) as with his fellow musician, Julia.  We felt fortunate to have gained such fine insights into the musician politics of quartets and classical music in general.  We all learned something from this erudite novel.
